| 4 | Substantive Review | If documents are complete / approved | Maximum 30 | The substantive review shall be completed within a maximum of 30 (thirty) working days, subject to the applicable requirements and review procedures. |

If the documents are declared incomplete, the application is returned to the applicant for completion before the review continues.
Durations are calculated on working days according to the operating hours of the UPI Research Ethics Committee service. Time used by the applicant to complete or revise documents is not included in the review duration.
